The Grogged Collection

The Grogged Collection is an ongoing project, exploring the use of ceramic waste as grog; an aggregate used in clay to improve stability and aid the drying process.

Different ceramic waste streams are used to create variations in colour, texture and pattern.

Discarded seconds would usually be sent to landfill, along with single-use bone china 'setters'; placed on top of other forms to prevent them from warping in the kiln.
